ImpactWind summer school 2025 - Invitation

Welcome to the 2025 edition of ImpactWind summer school! The 2025 edition is hosted by University of Agder. We will give an overview of offshore wind combined with more in-depth work with some topics. The speakers will come from both academic and business sectors.

Dates: The summer school starts at 09 a.m. Tuesday 6th of May and ends at 3 p.m. Thursday 8th of May.

Participant fee:	NOK 9 000 for other participants
	NOK 6 000 for employees of ImpactWind partners/observers and students;

Application deadline: 11th of April 2025

Tuesday:

Fundamentals of wind energy, wind resources and metocean conditions.
Turbines, power curves, aerodynamics.
The value chain of offshore wind power development, installation and production
Social aspects and acceptance

Wednesday:

Foundation and substructures
Marine operations of offshore wind turbines
Operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms

Thursday:

Ecology and nature diversity
Laws and Regulations, Concessions and Contracts
EHS (HMS)
Social and business economy
Supply Chain

The summer school will take place at the UiA campus in Grimstad. Walking distances from the hotels are 20-25 minutes. We recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible. We recommend the following hotels:
